KMC's Focus

Since the first conference in 2009, KMC has maintained the theme of "Building Bridges With Music," as an all genre music event with musicians coming from all over the world to perform and network in Osaka, Japan.
By introducing the Japanese market to artists from overseas and providing opportunities to network with Japanese artists, KMC stands as a unique type of conference where participating artists can create long lasting "bridges" that can lead to career growth in new markets.

Visual Art at KMC

Starting from last year, KMC began introducing visual art in 3 designated venues. We plan to expand that number to at least 5 venues for 2020 and continue our efforts to provide exposure for visual artists interested in collaborating with other artists to show their talent.
Artists from overseas can come to KMC and learn about the Japanese art scene and how they may be able to adjust their artistic skills to fit the Japanese market.

Applications for visual artists

1) Applications will be accepted from Jan. 15th - Mar. 15th on this site.
2) No fee is necessary to apply. However, selected artists will be required to pay a registration fee. (details here)
3) Before applying, please note that artists selected to exhibit at KMC will not be paid for their exhibit nor receive payment for any expenses related to their participation in the conference.
4) Visual artists of all types and genres can apply, both individuals and groups.
5) From Jan. 15th applicants can apply using this site and must complete the application form in full.
6) Be sure to include links to a website, videos or exhibitions that you have participated in. You can also send a portfolio with artwork images to the e-mail address listed on the application form, clearly labeled with your information.
7) Press the "Send" button at the bottom of the application form. Please review the information on the confirmation page carefully before pressing the "Send" button again. A confirmation mail will then be sent to the e-mail address included on the application form.
8) Once we have confirmed the receipt of your application related links/files, we will process your application. However we may contact you with further questions.
9) Selection results will be announced by April 15th and applicants who have been selected will be notified by email.
10) All selected artists will have until May 1st to confirm that they will be attending, after which all unconfirmed spots will be offered to other applicants.
11) After confirming attendance, artists will be asked to provide further information for the conference registration process.
